I am writing to draw your kind attention to a persistent and growing traffic issue along the stretch connecting Battala to Jirania.
The heavy movement of large commercial vehicles—such as trucks, dumpers, and multi-axle lorries—during peak morning and evening office hours has turned severe traffic congestion into a daily ordeal. This route serves as a major artery for commuters, school children, emergency services, and office-goers. Due to the presence of these large vehicles during high-volume periods, traffic frequently comes to a standstill, causing prolonged delays, increased accident risks, and unnecessary hassle for the public.
To alleviate this daily suffering, I earnestly request your office to consider imposing a restriction or complete ban on the movement of heavy commercial vehicles along the Battala–Jirania route during peak hours (specifically between 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the morning and 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the evening). Redirecting or scheduling heavy traffic outside of these time slots would greatly smoothen the traffic flow and provide immense relief to thousands of daily commuters.
