Agartala, September 30,2026: The BJP has begun preparations for the upcoming civic elections in Tripura, with polling for 20 urban local bodies expected by December 2026. Senior party leaders held a meeting at Dasharath Deb Smriti Bhawan in Agartala to discuss organizational strategies and strengthen the party machinery. The meeting was attended by Sadar (Urban) BJP president Asim Bhattacharjee, state general secretary Bipin Debbarma and other leaders. Debbarma said the party would focus on rejuvenating its cadres and highlighting the achievements of BJP-ruled urban bodies. He added that detailed campaigning would gain momentum after Durga Puja, while groundwork would begin immediately.
