Class XI Student Dies After Alleged School Harassment Over Mobile Phone

A Class XI student of Bardowali Higher Secondary School in Agartala, Arman Hossain, reportedly died on Thursday after an alleged suicide attempt. According to  our source, the incident followed a dispute over Arman bringing a mobile phone to school. His family and classmates alleged that a teacher, Sujit Sutradhar, and three fellow students subjected him to humiliation and physical harassment. The family further alleged that the teacher threatened that Arman would have to leave the school. Arman was later found attempting to take his own life at home. He was initially admitted to Tripura Medical College and later shifted to GB Pant Hospital due to his critical condition. Despite treatment, he died. The allegations require investigation to establish the exact circumstances and responsibility.
