CPI(M) Leader Visits Vandalised Party Office in Jogendra Nagar 

Agartala,26th August ,2026: CPI(M) state secretary and politburo member Jiten Chowdhury on Tuesday visited the party’s local committee office in Jogendra Nagar, Agartala, and met leaders and workers following last Monday’s alleged attack by miscreants. The office was reportedly vandalised, with furniture, documents, papers and portraits of deceased veteran leaders destroyed. Chowdhury sought details of the incident from local party members.

Speaking to the media, he accused the  government of failing to control law and order in the state. Chowdhury said the government will not be able to retain power through intimidation and violence, claiming public opinion was turning against the ruling party.
