India Activates Helplines for Indians Stranded in Nepal
New Delhi,27th August ,2026: India has activated emergency helplines to assist Indian nationals stranded or affected by devastating flash floods in Nepal. The floods, triggered by a glacial collapse, have caused widespread destruction and left hundreds missing, including more than 100 Indians. The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has opened emergency contact numbers to provide assistance and information to affected citizens and their families. Several Indian states have also established control rooms and helplines to trace stranded residents. Rescue operations are continuing in difficult conditions, while India is also providing relief supplies to Nepal.
