Agartala, August 17, 2026: Juwel Tripura, a student of Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School, has achieved a remarkable feat in the NEET examination by securing the first position among Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates in Tripura. He scored 544 marks, achieving an impressive percentile of 97.8646379 and securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 42,507.

Juwel also secured the 319th position among ST candidates nationally and ranked 29th overall in Tripura. His achievement has brought pride to his school, family and the state’s tribal community.

A resident of Batua Bari under Belonia Police Station in South Tripura, Juwel is the son of Khagendra Tripura and Jharna Tripura. He completed his schooling at Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School before appearing for NEET this year.

His outstanding performance is being hailed as a significant milestone for Tripura’s tribal students. Juwel’s success demonstrates that students from the state’s remote and tribal communities can compete successfully at the national level through dedication, perseverance and hard work.
