Agartala, 15 August 2026: The 80th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit across Tripura. The occasion was observed throughout the state with people from all walks of life participating in various gatherings to honour the nation’s freedom and remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.

The National Flag was hoisted at different places with due respect and dignity. The National Anthem was sung with proper decorum, followed by the National Song, “Vande Mataram,” which was also rendered with equal respect.
