South Tripura Steps Up Preparations for TTAADC Village Committees-2026 Election

Agartala, September 16, 2026: District-level preparations are underway in South Tripura to ensure the smooth, free, fair and peaceful conduct of the TTAADC Village Committees-2026 General Election.

A district-level meeting was held to review election preparedness, security arrangements and coordination among various departments. The meeting was jointly chaired by South Tripura District Magistrate Muhammad Sajad P, IAS, and Superintendent of Police Mourya Krishna C, IPS.

The officials reviewed arrangements aimed at ensuring effective coordination and maintaining security throughout the electoral process.

Following the meeting, Commanding Officers and Company Commanders of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Tripura State Rifles (TSR) were felicitated for their cooperation, coordination and dedicated service.

Their contribution towards strengthening election security arrangements in South Tripura was acknowledged during the programme. Continued coordination among security agencies and departments is expected to remain important for conducting the election smoothly and peacefully.
