Agartala, September 22,2026: The Tripura government has declared September 28, 2026, a paid holiday for voters in areas going to polls for the Election to Village Committees under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department, governmelnt offices, magisterial courts, financial institutions and establishments within the Village Committee jurisdictions will remain closed on polling day.

Employees entitled to vote, including those working in government establishments, businesses, industries and organisations, will be granted a paid holiday. The benefit also covers voters employed outside their constituencies, including casual and daily-wage workers.

The notification exempts cases where an employee’s absence could cause danger or substantial loss.
