Rajya Sabha Adjourned Sine Die

New Delhi,27th  August 2026: The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned sine die, bringing the latest parliamentary proceedings to a close. The Monsoon Session was marked by repeated disruptions and heated exchanges between the government and Opposition. Several important bills were passed during the session, including the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill. However, frequent protests affected the functioning of the House and limited opportunities for detailed debate. According to PRS Legislative Research, the Rajya Sabha functioned for about 33% of its scheduled time during the Monsoon Session.
