Agartala, October 13,2026: The recruitment advertisement issued by NIT Agartala for 51 non-teaching posts has triggered concerns over the implementation of the 27% reservation formula for Other Backward Classes (OBCs). Nath Yogi Forum President Harihar Debnath has alleged discrepancies in the category-wise distribution of vacancies and demanded transparency and compliance with applicable reservation rules.

According to the advertisement dated September 10, 2026, the vacancies include 27 unreserved, seven SC, 10 ST, four OBC-NCL and three EWS posts. The forum has urged authorities to review the allocation and clarify whether reservation norms have been properly followed.
